Questioning where you’re ultimately headed in your career? Here’s an exercise I did when trying to figure out the next direction in my own…
Create a Venn Diagram with 4 overlapping circles (I admit 4 is messy, so recommend using a cup to aid your artwork!)
Label each circle with the following:
- What I Love
- What I’m Good At
- What I Can Get Paid For
- What The World Needs
Brainstorm career ideas in each category, as well as some of the sections in which they overlap. Can you come up with any careers that satisfy all four? Three of four? What trade-offs would you be more and less willing to make?
